The U.S. economy could end in 2011 the strongest growth over the past 18 months, analysts increase their forecasts up to four quarters after a few months after the recession that causes concern among investors.
Economists bank JPMorgan Chase & Co. now expect GDP growth in Q4 of this year at 3% against the previous forecast of 2.5%. Analysts at Macroeconomic Advisers raised its forecast from 2.9% to 3.2% in the 4th quarter, and economists from Morgan Stanley & Co.
Raise your expectations by 3% to 3.5%. «Incoming data on consumption, business spending and investment in real estate suggests that GDP in the 4th quarter could grow by 3,3%,» — said John Herrmann, a senior strategist at State Street Global Markets.
Lavon John, chief economist for the United States of Deutsche Bank Securities said that he would not be surprised if he saw up to 4 quarters figure of 4%, although it still adheres to the forecast of 3%.
